The Colorado-based company's store is locating in an 18,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by the Grocery Outlet. The store will initially hire 20-25 local employees and eventually could double that number, depending on its success.
Natural Grocers will market organic and natural foods, meats, produce, frozen foods, bulk foods, pet and personal care products and nutritional supplements. It will also seek out local products that meet their standards, said the company's Marketing Director Nancy Flynn.
The Corvallis store - located at 1235 NW Ninth St. - is Natural Grocers' fifth outlet in Oregon and one of 76 companywide.
Flynn has invited Chamber members to a VIP Pre-Opening Party on Monday December 16, from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. The invitation was sent directly to members. The first 300 people to bring in the invitation will receive a $10 gift certificate and a free reusable bag.
The store will officially open for business on Tuesday December 17th. For more information on Natural Grocers, visit their web site at www.NaturalGrocers.com.
