Mayor Julie Manning, representing the Friends of Corvallis, and former City Councilman Mark O'Brien (pictured at left) were the keynote presenters.
The levy would raise approximately $17 million over a five year period by asking voters to approve an 82 cent increase on $1,000 of assessed value.
The funds would support additional library hours, the Osborn Aquatic Center, the senior center, plus providing additional money for public safety and other social services. The Chamber Board of Directors has taken a neutral stand on the tax levy.
