What is Greeters?
Greeters are Chamber Members who gather once a week from 8:30 am - 9:30 am at a location chosen by the host, for the purpose of learning about the host's business, promoting their own business and networking. The host provides coffee & light breakfast treats. This is a very fun, lighthearted event for early-birds!
Participants are mostly Chamber Members, but non-members are encouraged to come to two Greeter events before joining. This allows the non-members to get a feel for one of our most popular events, before joining the Chamber. Greeters begin arriving as early as 8:20am, and network until approximately 8:45am. One of the Chamber Ambassadors then begins the meeting by introducing the host. The host then has the floor to inform the attendees about their business for 10-12 minutes. This is followed by opening up the floor for questions. After the Q&A, we have some fun with the "Question of the Day", which the Host comes up with and asks. The attendees then take turns introducing themselves and their business, and take a stab at answering the question! The winner receives a door prize provided by the host. In case that isn't enough fun, the greeters then draw for door prizes from a pool of the attendee's business cards. The door prizes are provided by the host and other members trying to promote their business. The Greeters are encouraged to bring their marketing materials for display, and a door prize to promote their business. To wind down the meeting, the floor is opened up for announcements- this is a great opportunity to make people aware of what's going on with your business! |
