Marcy Eastham, a longtime Corvallis resident and businesswoman, was named Thursday as the coalition's interim president and CEO.
Eastham, who worked for years with Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis and now is a real estate broker with Town & Country Realty, has assumed her new duties as of July 5th. She will continue to serve her real-estate clients.
In the meantime, the board of directors has launched a process to identify and hire a permanent director.
Said Mike McInally, the new chairman of the coalition's board of directors: "...we are thrilled to be able to have someone like Marcy, with her experience and knowledge of Corvallis and Benton County, step in to our top position. We'll turn to Marcy immediately to help strengthen the Chamber Coalition's partnerships, both locally and regionally - and these are times that require strong leadership that is focused on building partnerships to help create business and economic vitality here."
"I'm honored to have the opportunity to work with the chamber board and members to continue the positive work of the chamber in elevating the status of business in the Corvallis area," Eastham said.
